A mysterious artifact is discovered buried beneath the Lunar surface and sets mankind off in search of it”s origins with help from H.A.L. 9000, an intelligent super computer.  A race to find the other hidden monoliths throughout the universe between The Human “Bowman” and HAL.  The winner will achieve the next step in evolution, whatever that may be.
